What does the area offer?

A stay in Tuscany is not complete without visiting Florence, home of the Renaissance. You can drive there (in just a ½ hour), but we recommend catching the train from nearby Figline which gets you to Florence in 20 minutes without the worry and expense of parking in the city.

As Molin del Resco is located in the central part of Tuscany it is easy to reach the most important places of interest this region has to offer, such as Siena (55 km), Arezzo (40 km), the  Chianti towns (15 km), San Giminiano (45 km), the Roman baths and hot springs of Rapolano and Chianciano (50 km). It's also worth going to Umbria to visit Assisi and Orvieto or the magnificent Cascate delle Marmore (the highest waterfalls in Italy). A trip to Lake Trasimeno or the Tyrrhenian Coast is a couple of hours drive.
Closer to home, you can discover the natural and artistic treasures of the Pratomagno area, all well away from the beaten tourist track.
